Tierra Tucker

Tierra Tucker is a senior at the illustrious Howard University majoring in health management with a minor in business.

Hailing all the way from the windy city of Chicago, she is a recipient of the Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholarship as well as Nordstrom Scholarship. Tierra is very active at her university, where she is a member of the Ladies of the Quad Social Club (LOQSC), Campus Pals, and the Chicago People Union. In fall 2015, Tierra studied abroad in London with IES (Institute of Education Sciences) Health Practice and Policy Program in conjunction with Oxford University, and the last two weeks of her program she committed to a service learning project in Jamaica in conjunction with the University of West Indies.

Tierra recently started her own magazine blog DYNAMITE!, which is designed to highlight talented young African American people doing great things in their community and also voicing her opinion on critical issues faced today. The magazine also aims to inspire, motivate and uplift millennials worldwide. DYNAMITE! is bringing positivity back to the news and media.

After graduating from Howard University in 2017, Tierra plans on attending graduate school and pursuing her master’s degree in public health with a concentration in social welfare & policy. Eventually, Tierra wants to work in the public sector as an advocate for policies being implemented into systems nationwide.
