Jenna Carretero is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) with over 10 years of experience in events and hospitality. At AAM, she oversees the organization’s exhibition presence at international trade shows, conferences, and conventions while planning a variety of events and internal meetings. Having managed over 50 live events annually at one point, Jenna now focuses on creating sustainable, inclusive, and memorable event experiences. Known as AAM’s unofficial “Make-It-Happener,” she enjoys turning creative ideas into reality and tackling challenges head-on.
Jenna is proud to be an active member of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Potomac Chapter since 2019, staying connected with industry trends and leaders. She also holds certificates in sustainable event design and event welfare, reflecting her passion for crafting events that are both impactful and forward-thinking.
Before joining AAM, Jenna gained diverse experience working with the District Policy Group, where she coordinated large-scale fly-in events on Capitol Hill, and with Marriott, managing a hotel front office while honing her hospitality skills. She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida, where her background in clinical neuropsychology research helped her cultivate a strong eye for detail and organizational expertise.
When she’s not planning events, Jenna loves spending time with her husband, Roland, and their three children. Together, they enjoy exploring their home state of Maryland, learning Portuguese, and hosting family movie and game nights.
Jenna also leads AAM’s Internship Program. For inquiries, she can be reached at [email protected].
