Here at ManufactureThis, we're always happy to see manufacturing jobs come back to the U.S. And thankfully, more companies are starting to "reshore"— to bring their operations back to the productive, reliable, quality environment of well-maintained U.S. factories.
The latest example?
Cleveland CycleWerks, a manufacturer of low-cost motorcycles, is moving their manufacturing operations from China to the United States.
Scott Colosimo, the owner of Cleveland CycleWerks, recently purchased a 60,000-square-foot building in Cleveland where the company plans to build a new assembly facility and distribution center. Production should begin within the next 2 years.
Colosimo says the company returned to the U.S. in order to "stabilize quality" and strengthen "technical expertise in motorcycle design, engineering and manufacturing." The move makes sense logistically as well since more than 30 components of Cyclewerks' bikes are already made in Cleveland.
