New podcast episode looks at a case study for public-private partnerships combatting PPE shortages.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine called upon his state's manufacturers to join the fight against COVID-19 on April 1, and nearly two thousand answered. Forming the Ohio Manufacturing Alliance to Fight COVID-19, these manufacturers are serving local healthcare workers and first responders by producing personal protective equipment (PPE).

However, the vast majority of the factories that volunteered to supply PPEs had little to no experience producing them.

In the latest episode of The Manufacturing Report podcast, Ethan Karp, president and CEO of MAGNET, and Rob Brundrett, public policy services director of the Ohio Manufacturers' Alliance, share how the Ohio Manufacturing Alliance to Fight COVID-19 formed a complex supply chain to produce PPEs in cooperation with three hospitals and multiple government agencies in just a matter of days. Listen below.
