The Alliance for American Manufacturing is thrilled to unveil the 2019 Made in America Holiday Gift Guide, our annual collection of gift ideas from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

We’ve worked hard to put together an eclectic mix of Made in USA gift picks at a variety of price points, shining a spotlight on companies that support U.S. jobs and the local economy. Every item on the list this year is new to the gift guide — and many of the ideas come from readers like you!

Another Bonus: Looking for a bag to stand the test of time? The goods produced by Kamen Road are designed to last, made of natural materials and in small batches — the company follows the principles of slow fashion, which states that the industry shouldn’t “exploit people or destroy our planet.” Reader Pick

Colorado

We’re not including David Rasmussen Furniture Design on this list for the company’s custom furniture – which is very nice – but rather for the company’s collection of handcrafted wooden barware, cutting boards, and plates. Most items are priced under $100.

Bonus: Since its founding in 2005, Green Guru, a Certified B Corporation, has upcycled over a million pounds of used outdoor gear such as bike tubes, wetsuits and banners to create packs and other performance gear accessories. As part of the company’s mission to inspire the public to reduce waste, it accepts donations of items that might otherwise end up in landfills at local bike and outdoor shops. Companies like REI and Patagonia also contribute to Green Guru’s material sourcing in donating surplus and defective goods. 

Connecticut

Illinois

Iowa

Farm Hand Designs creates custom wood signs with a western, farmhouse feel to remind you of the Sooner State. This small company is in a division of the wholesale business called The Sign Farm. Farm Hand Designs has been operating for over 20 years, and the company continues to manufacture products at its Stillwater barn studio.

Bonus: MOKU creates specialty jewelry and accessories using eucalyptus from the southeast slopes of Haleakala, which is harvested wood from Tropical Storm Flossie in 2013. All of the designs are sketched out geometrically, turned into 3D files and then printed in metals that are Made in the USA. South Dakota

Roger Wagoner Designs is a family owned and operated company that designs custom, handmade fine jewelry and sculptures using clay, foam, metals and other mediums that are vivid to the connection of preserving nature. The team — comprised of Roger, his wife and their son — take pride in designing and manufacturing their products in South Dakota and ensuring customers get exactly what they paid for.
