Is your dog ready to tackle this cold weather?
Winter has arrived with a vengeance. The Upper Midwest is locked in a deep freeze, the South is breaking snow records, and let’s be honest — our dogs are probably judging us for not being as prepared as they are. But there’s one company that’s got us (and our furry friends) covered: Goldpaw Series. If you’ve never heard of them, let me introduce you to my favorite brand for dog wear that’s both functional and fabulous.
Goldpaw Series is no stranger to winter’s chill. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, they packed up their sewing machines and relocated their headquarters to Minnesota in 2020. But don’t worry — production didn’t stray far from its roots. Today, about half of their product line is made in their Minnesota-based micro factory, which also handles custom orders and short runs. The rest is made by a family-run contractor in California — a partnership that’s been going strong for over 15 years.
We first blogged about Goldpaw Series back in 2015, and since then, they’ve only gotten better with time. Their product lineup now includes custom embroidery, sublimation, and even a visualizer tool that lets customers preview custom orders before they buy, making it easy to get the perfect fit and color match for your pup. They’ve also launched an annual limited-edition collection of sun tee prints and a
“vault” event, one that I was thrilled to learn of, where discontinued colors are temporarily brought back by popular demand.
And let’s talk about their latest styles — because Goldpaw has truly upped the game. In addition to their beloved Stretch Fleece, they now offer the lightweight Flight Suit, the full-coverage Ski Suit, Sunsie, and the Goldpaw Onesie, which is a Stretch Fleece with legs. They’ve also expanded their lineup to include collars, harnesses, leashes, and upcycled dog beds — catering to every dog, no matter the climate, with the best gear.
Goldpaw Series is proudly Made in America, and it’s something they take seriously. Owner Rebecca Gadd explains why:
“I love Made in America because it supports an entire ecosystem of other businesses – whether it’s a hangtag printer, a sewing machine repair guy, a daycare, or a taco truck. I also like the relationships and the way those relationships ensure that every step of the supply chain is high in quality and produced in a manner that is beneficial for workers and their communities.”
Their customers care about this too. Since Goldpaw is one of the only pet wear brands still producing domestically, they hear every day from pet parents who specifically seek them out for that reason.
I’ve been a loyal Goldpaw customer for years, and my senior dog is basically a walking ambassador for their Stretch Fleece and Snood. Wherever we go, people stop to ask about his coat. It’s soft, stretchy, and comes in so many colors you might just end up buying more than one. And the Snood? It’s the winter accessory we never knew we needed.
Oh, and did I mention Goldpaw Series has been featured in the Alliance for American Manufacturing’s Holiday Gift Guides for Made in America products in both 2022 and 2023? That’s right — they’re not just on my radar; they’re on everyone’s wish list.
So, if your dog is tired of shivering through walks or if you’re ready to level up their winter wardrobe, check out Goldpaw Series. Your pup will thank you, and you’ll love how easy their products make surviving winter’s worst.
