LaGrande, Oregon: A restaurant called Highway 3o Eats will be going out of business this week. While the restaurant is not a manufacturing facility, we thought it interesting to mention because of what was cited as the reason for its failing:
...owner Anna Rogers said she found herself with her back against the wall in recent months...She said she definitely felt the pinch after widespread layoffs at local manufacturing facilities, including Fleetwood RV, Northwood Manufacturing and Boise Cascade.The point is, manufacturing jobs support their surounding communities. The factory layoffs in Oregon have affected local businesses as well.
