A map everyone is reading

Last week’s Economic Policy Institute (EPI) report on U.S. jobs lost due to the trade deficit with China has garnered a lot of media attention, including a New York Times article.
A key point of the report is that the U.S. lost 2.4 million jobs between 2001-2008. To help demonstrate this, the Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) created an interactive map (pictured above) that reveals jobs losses by both state and Congressional district.
That map has become rather popular already. Not only has it drawn thousands of website visitors, but the Daily Kos decided to reprint it in a front page article today.
