More on the recent Whirlpool rally in Indiana

Posted by scapozzola on 03/03/2010

th_dsc05031 As ManufactureThis reported on Monday, thousands of concerned citizens rallied in Evansville, Indiana this past weekend to protest the closing of a Whirlpool plant that is moving operations to Mexico. th_dsc05022 What many people find most upsetting, according to HillbillyReport.org, is that "Whirlpool has shown profitibility" while "manufacturing in the states":
"This is outrageous and unacceptable, especially in light of Whirlpool's profitability and the $19 million dollars in economic recovery money Whirlpool recently received from the federal government as a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act."

This Issue of closing Plants

This Issue of closing Plants exspecialy with these types of products is bigger than just Whirlpool its about General Electric, where there alliance is. They GET MAGA Billion dollar contracts with our Government from NASA TO Defense contracts and thats\ is not enough, they want everything from the light bulb to AARA monies to line their pockets and yes allow them to move to other countries to exploit labor and avoid healthcare and retirement obligations and yes, possible enviormental standards that would be imposed on them here. They beleive they own some Senators or Congressional Representatives which they may, but, we will see who they are and, there will be a price to pay. Our true leaders will and must join us and say, we can no know longer, subsidize other countries, they can no longer dump these goods here, and be afford tax incentives for creating our economical demise and as well for helping create our overwhelming unemployment rate and still want the American consumer to buy their produts well, shame on them that do..
