Obama Administration Imposes Duties on Subsidized Chinese Steel Pipe

File this under Enforcing Trade Laws... Bloomberg News reports that the Obama administration has imposed preliminary duties averaging 12 percent on $382 million of steel pipe imports from China following an investigation of unfair subsidies. The U.S. Commerce Department said that pipes used in chemical, petrochemical and refinery plants are being subsidized by the Chinese government.
