Update: More on the possibility of Chinese components in U.S. nuclear reactors

The Obama administration has announced $8.33 billion in federal loan guarantees for two proposed reactors in Georgia. Unfortunately, U.S. tax dollars may in fact be headed to Asia to purchase some components for the two power plants.
In The Hill today, Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) Executive Director Scott Paul asks if it is "desirable to trade America’s dependence on foreign oil for dependence on renewables and nuclear energy manufacturing abroad? Worse yet, should we allow our tax dollars to make this possible?"
