The Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) is traveling to Youngstown, Ohio today to hold a series of lectures and meetings examining the future of U.S. manufacturing.  AAM Executive Director Scott Paul, and Richard McCormack (editor of the Manufacturing and Technology News, and publisher of AAM's Manufacturing a Better Future for America) will speak to an audience at Youngstown State University (YSU) and will answer questions about the future of manufacturing and public policy. McCormack and Paul will face a busy day of meetings and interviews.  After a morning breakfast presentation in the Presidential Suite of YSU's Kilcawley Center, the two will join professors John Russo and Sherry Lee Linkon for a live panel discussion about the future of U.S. manufacturing on ClearChannel Radio's The Dan Rivers Show. The two will move on to a noon press conference followed by a luncheon discussion at the Youngstown Business Incubator.  After more radio interviews in the afternoon, McCormack will join Linkon and Russo for an evening lecture on "Working-Class Communities and the Future of Manufacturing" at YSU. Stay tuned to ManufactureThis for updates and highlights of the day's events.
