Creating jobs through energy efficiency

More than two dozen organizations, including the Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM), have submitted a letter to Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) urging Congress to "provide significant stimulus to the manufacturing sector for investments in energy efficiency and tooling for the production of energyefficient and clean energy products."
Among the letter's key sugestions are: $10+ billion for an energy-efficient manufacturing grant program, $30 million for Industrial Assessment Centers and Manufacturing Extension Partnerships, $30 billion for an industrial investment revolving loan fund, and $250 million for industrial research and development.
