Arlen Specter Says China Cheats

Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter published a rather blunt op-ed in today's Pittsburgh Post Gazette in which he notes the cost of unbalanced trade with China:
America's continued hemorrhaging of manufacturing jobs poses a threat to the future economic health and freedom of the country. The chief threat comes from China and its predatory trading practices.Specter says that the recent ITC hearing on subsidized steel from China is an important step toward reversing the massive U.S. trade deficit with China, but more work remains:
If relief in the form of sanctions against China is not granted, our remaining tubular-steel producers and workers will remain at risk. Following the Commerce Department, the ITC should strike a blow for U.S. steelworkers and take punitive measures against China.Read more.
