Sen. Sherrod Brown: We need a new economic strategy

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) is offering a luncheon keynote address at today's 'Building the New Economy' conference in Washington, DC. ManufactureThis is pleased to cover the Senator's remarks which note the ongoing erosion of the U.S. manufacturing base and the loss of good-paying jobs.
Sen. Brown has been a strong proponent of enforcing U.S. trade laws to address China's rampant cheating. He has also called for a national manufacturing strategy.
Brown: Manufacturing is the ticket to the middle class...It would be good to show students the inside of a steel mill or auto parts plant, to interest them in the importance of manufacturing.
