In Huffington Post, AAM Director Scott Paul has published an op-ed that looks at the "deeper, structural issues" underlying the current recession:
consumer debt, subsidized Chinese imports, American job loss and factory closures, the growing U.S. current account deficit, burgeoning Chinese currency reserves reinvested in American debt ...Ahead of Thursday's 'Building the New Economy' conference, Paul suggests that the U.S. needs a new manufacturing strategy, one that helps to build 21st Century manufacturing for new industries and green technology.
