The cash-for-clunkers program has encouraged Ford to increase its vehicle production by 10,000 vehicles in the third quarter, and projecting an output of 570,000 cars in the fourth quarter.
The Labor Department reported that consumer prices fell 2.1 percent in the past 12 months, driven in large part by the declines in the fuel prices. Economists worry about deflation.
And how easy is it for private businesses to transition to new, let’s say wind turbine manufacturing, economy? Well, easier said than done, especially during the current economic downturn.
