GM wants tax dollars to help shift production overseas. We think that’s a bad idea.
United Steelworkers President Leo Gerard says we should get on the bus next week to spread the word about the auto supply chain and all the jobs its supports. 11 states, 35 stops, 4 buses.
Speaking of jobs. Hundreds of thousands of more Americans lost their jobs last month. The U.S. jobless rate hits 8.9% with an additional 539, ooo Americans becoming unemployed in April. This is called an "improvement" (the New York Times points out the irony).
