Following Chrysler's announcement of a bankruptcy filing yesterday, the Washington Post looks at what that would mean for Kokomo, Indiana—home of four Chrysler facilities.
Why was the March decline in GDP only at the 6.1 percent rate? Some assert that declining imports are the reason (since imports subtract from the GDP, a decline in imports contributes to GDP's rise). Without imports, GDP declined at about a 12% annual rate.
Climate change legislation negotiations continue in the House of Representatives as Energy and Commerce Committee leaders try to round up votes.
