Sen. Casey questions BP about China overhaul of failed rig equipment

At Senate hearing today, Sen. Robert Casey, Jr. (D-PA) questioned a BP official regarding news reports that BP outsourced the overhaul of key Deepwater Horizon equipment to China in order to save money. That equipment is now at the center of an investigation into the subsequent explosion and oil spill.
Sen. Casey submitted a news article into the Senate record and will be pursuing the issue. The Senator also issued a press release on the matter.
