Here's a nice email that we received recently... From: James O'Neil Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2010 3:40 PM To: AAM Subject: National Manufacturing Strategy Act of 2010 This e-mail is addressed to Scott Paul and the staff at AAMFG. I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation for Scott Paul’s work on his testimony in the Hearing on H.R. 4692, The National Manufacturing Strategy Act of 2010. I am a fourth generation owner and operation of a small iron foundry.  I was educated at Georgia Tech and have worked with several Fortune 500 manufactures making products that range from plate heat exchangers to state of the art DRAM chips.  I have travelled extensively to see other manufacturing operations around the world and worked for multinational corporations headquartered in Sweden and Germany. I am dismayed to see what has happened to our domestic manufacturing industries and the ineffectiveness of our government in supporting this sector of our economy.  While I understand the necessity of a healthy financial sector and a clean environment, I am not encouraged by the handouts, loans and other inducements for “special” sectors of our economy such as investment banking, speculative banking, and “clean energy”. But, I was very encouraged to read the case made by Scott before the House Committee.  While I do not know if I might be correct in my opinions, I felt like Scott was speaking for me, and others like me. If I were to choose and advocate for my company, my industry, and domestic manufacturing, I think Scott would be it. Well done! Best Regards, James
