AAM Action in Indianapolis
Posted by scapozzola on 06/28/2010
Below is a field report from AAM Field Coordinator Mike Mitchell.
(AAM recently staffed a booth at the Democratic Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mike Mitchell and AAM Field Coordinator Rachel Bennett Steury spoke with a number of delegates and elected officials regarding China's currency manipulation, which is costing the U.S. manufacturing jobs.)
Visitors to AAM's booth included: Indiana Members of Congress Brad Ellsworth, Cordelia Lewis- Burks, and Andre Carson; Indiana State Senators VI Simpson and Karen Tallien; and, Indiana House of Representatives Members Mara Candelaria Reardon and Charles Moseley.
Rachel and I spoke with Congressman Carson about his purchase of AAM's book, Manufacturing A Better Future For America , which he was in the process of reading. We also spoke with Rep. Charles Moseley, who gave us an update on a Buy Indiana resolution he introduced in the state House of Representatives. His bill would require Indiana steel to be used in the building of wind turbines in the state.
