TONIGHT: How to Revitalize the Delaware Economy.

The Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) will be holding a “Keep Made in America” Town Hall meeting in Newark, Delaware tonight. The event will focus on revitalizing domestic U.S. manufacturing and will discuss the findings of a recent poll that shows broad, bipartisan support for manufacturing, Buy America, and getting tough on China. The town hall will be held at the Executive Banquet Conference Hall in Newark, and will feature leading national and Delaware experts on manufacturing, including: -Scott Paul, Executive Director, Alliance for American Manufacturing -Chris Coons, County Executive of New Castle -Sam Latham, President, Delaware AFL-CIO -Alan Levin, Director, Delaware Economic Development -Deborah Armstrong, United Way of Delaware Said AAM Director Scott Paul, “Too many families in Delaware and across the nation continue to be hard hit by this recession, struggling to pay mortgages and provide for their families while seeing their jobs shipped overseas.  We can turn our nation’s economy around by restoring our nation’s manufacturing base, and Delaware, with its rich history in manufacturing, can play a key role in that revitalization.” The town hall meeting, which starts at 6 pm, is open to the general public, with free parking, free admission, and complimentary dinner served.
