early-shift_thumbnail.jpg Congress is unconvinced on China’s currency move. Is the White House asking Sen. Schumer to back off on his currency bill? Rich Trumka, Robert Reich, and our own Scott Paul all agree that China’s move is a smokescreen. Reps. Ryan (D-OH) and Tim Murphy (R-PA) want to push forward with currency manipulation legislation in the House. Even the New York Times editorial board thinks China’s move may not be enough. Ford is investing $450 million to make automobiles for the Asian market…in Thailand. And, a steel mill in Pennsylvania celebrates its 200th anniversary.
