Spanx-- Atlanta, Georgia: Started in the South by Florida State grad Sara Blakely, Spanx, the national phenomenon in slimming womenswear and pantyhose, is proudly manufactured in the USA.
Blakely was frustrated when looking for a pair of footless skin-toned pantyhose to wear under pants with flats, so she decided to invest her savings and invent some herself. With an idea in hand, Sara tried tirelessly to find a mill that would manufacture her products, until she finally landed one that agreed to give it a go.
Sara's line of undergarments, panty hose, and clothing provides for a flattering figure. Since its founding, Spanx has produced $150 million in revenue and grown into a thriving hosiery company.
Sara has been named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year and "Georgia's Woman of the Year." Spanx products have been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, TODAY, Forbes, E! Glamour, People, InStyle, The New York Times and more. They also have a solid following from celebrities and everyday women alike.
Now, thanks to the brand's new, less expensive line for Target, called ASSETS, every woman (or man!) can have access to this revolutionary, American-made undergarments and apparel.
Spanx are available at Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and other department stores, or online.
