What a difference four years makes...

Four years ago, the Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) ran a series of paid ads to remind the presidential candidates and elected officials that China's continued violations of trade agreements were costing U.S. jobs.
Now, the candidates are trying to outcompete each other to make the same argument.
The good news is this means the "China issue" has finally come to the fore. But the bad news is that the need is greater than ever. In fact, America's massive trade deficit with China has cost 2.7 million jobs since 2001.
Bottom line: China STILL Cheats, and the need to take action is even more urgent.

drywall
China not only costs jobs but homes too. We unfortunate homeowners are still in the chinese drywall battle with no end in sight. We live in a trailer next to our 2800 sqft home. Still pay the mortgage, still pay the insurance, still pay the electric bill, but can't live in it. Our home must be gutted back to studs and nobody can help us. There are thousands of us still hanging by a thread with Taishian drywall. Thanks to Chinese imports we now own and pay for a toxic chinese gas chamber yard ornament. People dont know we are still going through this. They heard or read about the Knauf settlement and think it was taken care of. The Taishian victims are still fighting and and we have little hope of them honoring any American court judgement.
