U.S. manufacturing-- still "alive and kicking"

Robert Scott, at the Economic Policy Institute (EPI), bristles when he reads critcism of U.S. manufacturing, especially when it's written by snobbish academic elites.

In response to physicist Eduardo Porter's dismissal of manufacturing as "gone for good," Scott says that "with 11.9 million jobs today, U.S. manufacturing is very much alive and kicking."
