The toll of lost jobs

According to Labor Department data, nearly one in eight families (12.4%) included an unemployed person in 2010. This is the highest level on record since the Labor Department began tracking family unemployment in 1994. It's also a jump from 2009's 12.0%, and almost double 2007's figure of 6.3%.
