Shift Changes: Lured by Boeing’s success, Spanish carbon structure manufacturer opens new SC plant

According to the Greenville News, North Charleston, SC will soon be saying “Bienvenido!” to Carbures, a Spanish manufacturer of carbon structures used by the aerospace industry.

The company cites the presence of Boeing’s new aircraft plant—which produces the heavily hyped 787 Dreamliner—as the main reason they chose North Charleston for their new manufacturing facility. The company hopes to employ up to 100 workers at the new plant.

To Carbures we say “Bueno suerte,” and we hope to see more companies drawn to the new hotbed of aerospace technology that is quickly forming around Boeing's SC plant.
