Postcard from the Centennial State: AAM attends the Colorado Democratic Party Convention

Posted by TGarland on 05/08/2014

A few weeks ago, the Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) spent time in Denver visiting with the 1,200 delegates at the Colorado Democratic Party Convention and at its annual Jefferson Jackson Dinner. AAM site coordinator Al Becco, SOAR District 12 Coordinator Joel Buchanan, Steelworkers Organizer of Active Retirees (SOAR) 12-01 President David Nefzger, and SOAR member Dave Kins spoke to delegates and elected officials about the importance of American manufacturing.

After sharing important statistics about manufacturing in Colorado and how unfair trade practices like currency manipulation affects jobs all across the country, delegates sent letters to Congress and President Obama urging them to pass legislation that would support growth and opportunity in the manufacturing industry.
