Michigan auto parts manufacturers and their workers are concerned about the future of the U.S. auto supply chain

PriebeMeet Pete Priebe, a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 292.

Priebe is concerned about the future of the nation’s auto supply chain, including 250,000 auto parts jobs in Michigan. A shop steward at Durr Systems, one of the world's leading suppliers of products, systems, and services for automobile manufacturing, Priebe has urged his co-workers to call on the Obama Adminstration to investigate trade with China in auto parts.

Rachel Bennett Steury, a field coordinator with the Alliance for Manufacturing (AAM), reports that this issue hits close to home for Priebe and others with jobs in the auto parts supply chain in Michigan.

We’d like to thank Priebe, the members of SMWIA Local 292, and President Mark VanAvery for helping to Keep it Made in America.
