Levin Comments on Currency Bill

House Ways and Means Committee chair Sandy Levin (D-MI) commented this morning on the China currency bill, which the House is likely to vote on today. According to Reuters, Levin said, " This bill represents action...My guess is it will not only send a message, it will further equip our administation [to fight China's currency practices]."
The passage of the bill, which has bipartisan support in the House, will be a critical step in rebalancing trade between the U.S. and China, and puting America back on the right track towards a thriving manufacturing sector that will support good, sustainable jobs.
