The iPhone 5 debuts (and it's still not Made in America).
It's iPhone 5 day, also known as the day when Apple enthusiasts worldwide line up outside of stores to wait for the release of the company's newest phone/gadget hybrid.
Some of us at the Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) are Mac/iPhone/iPad users, but we also deal with the same frustrations as many consumers. We may appreciate the technology but we're bothered that the iPhone is not Made in America. SEE THE GRAPHIC INCLUDED BELOW.
Some ManufactureThis readers may recall that AAM Executive Director Scott Paul presented a panel called "Why Can't Apple make your iPhone in America?" at the Netroots Nation Conferece this past June. Paul and several panelists explained that it's not entirely Apple's fault that its products aren't made in the United States.
We thought it might be a good time to remind our readers, especially Apple enthusiasts, of why Apple, and many other smartphone and tablet companies make their products in China.
