From Hartford to Wheeling: Wrapping Up Week One

Posted by jeckert on 10/18/2010

AAM's first week of events on the 2010 "Keep it Made in America" Town Hall Tour was quite the success.  Kicking off in Hartford, CT and traveling to Jackson, MI and Lorain, OH before ending the week with a bang in Wheeling, WV, concerned citizens, policymakers and business leaders alike came out to show their support for American manufacturing.  In addition to receiving widespread press coverage, the town halls gave voters an opportunity to express their concerns about the importance of job creation and reviving manufacturing ahead of the upcoming November elections.

AAM Executive Director Scott Paul says, "We are providing voters with a chance to ask their candidates directly, 'What are you going to do about restoring manufacturing and the millions of jobs we've lost to China?' We've invited the candidates.  Let's see if they'll face the voters."

Campaign for America's Future fellow and blogger Dave Johnson has been on tour with us since Jackson, MI and has great coverage of the event.  Also, if you didn't get the chance to catch our live webcast of the Wheeling, WV event, you can watch it here.
