GALLUP: Americans "still" see China as #1

Posted by scapozzola on 02/12/2012

According to a Gallup poll: Americans believe China is the leading economic power in the world today, by a significant margin over the United States. This is the second consecutive year the majority of Americans have viewed China as economically dominant; previously, China held a smaller lead. By contrast, in 2000, Americans overwhelmingly believed the U.S. was the leading economic power.

It is understandable where

It is understandable where people would think this way about China because they are doing most of the production in the world and we are doing more of the consuming in the world.

People really do believe that China is the superpower of economics in the world today, that nothing is taxable as income and that is probably true although people don't want to admit it.
