"Dying Industries"

A Wall Street Journal item on the slow recovery from a severe recession suggests that some industries "are unlikely to ever" make a "full recovery."

"Apparel manufacturers" and "mills" are two of the hardest hit sectors.  As the WSJ's Phil Izzo sees it, these are among the industries that have been "hurt by cheaper overseas competition."  Apparel makers have seen their revenues decline by 77% over the past decade, mills by 50%.
