China strong-arms foreign automakers

Forbes correspondent Gordon Chang says that Beijing is putting pressure on foreign automakers to transfer technology and know-how in exchange for access to the Chinese market.
These "strong-arm tactics" violate China’s trade obligations and "betray a fundamental weakness of the Chinese economic model."
