Cartoons and Lead-tainted Drinking Glasses

Toxic metals have been found in drinking glasses depicting cartoon characters, which are seemingly aimed at a younger consumers. The Associated Press commissioned laboratory testing of the glasses which were found to exceed federal limits for lead in children's products by up to 1,000 times.
The glasses were made in China and sport brands such as McDonalds, Disney, Coca-Cola, and Burger King.
Thankfully, the Associated Press has been conducting an extended investigation to out companies who cheaply manufacture children's products in China that potentially contain unsafe materials. Coca-Cola, reports the AP, is voluntarily recalling 88,000 glasses.
