ANALYSIS: How is the Obama Administration doing on trade enforcement?

The Law Offices of Stewart and Stewart have compiled an analysis of the Obama Administration's efforts to strengthen U.S. trade laws since August, 2010.

Specifically, the Obama Administration identified 14 different changes that it intended to make in its administrative practices through the President’s National Export Initiative.

The Stewart and Stewart analysis finds that nearly twenty months after the announcement, the Commerce Department has implemented just half of the intended proposals:

Specifically, the Department has fully implemented seven of the 14 proposals, has published proposed changes for three proposals but has not yet implemented them, and has taken no action with respect to four proposals.
