Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) widely quoted on Obama Administration launching WTO case against China auto parts
Alliance for American Manufacturing (AAM) Executive Director Scott Paul has been widely quoted on the Obama Administration's decision to file a trade case yesterday with the World Trade Organization (WTO) regarding subsidized auto parts from China.
McClatchy News' Anita Kumar quoted Scott Paul on why the evidence overwhelming justifies filing a case:
“It’s really irrefutable. The public documents that are available are damning enough that there’s not going to be too much worry about the outcome,” said Scott Paul, the executive director of the Alliance for American Manufacturing, who called the case “ironclad” and predicted that it will result in a favorable ruling for the U.S. “I expect China will push back vigorously; they always do. But the bottom line is they have no leg to stand on.”
Other major news outlets quoting Paul include Marketplace, Wall Street Journal's Washington Wire, The Washington Times, AFP, and The Financial Times.
