Lou is an AAM action field coordinator for Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. He previously worked at Wheeling Pitt Steel, where he started as a laborer and worked his way up to caster. As Lou recalls, the caster position is a place where only a handful of people want to work; it’s very hot, very dangerous. (The caster ultimately turns molten steel into a solid slab.)
